Before the tournament Spain were the bookmakers favourite and they didn't disappoint after they beat Holland 1-0 and it was Iker Casillas who lifted the World Cup Trophy at the Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa on July 11th 2010 to become World Cup 2010 Champions!

The World Cup 2010 Final proved a fiery affair and it was Andreas Iniesta who scored the winning goal in extra time after 116 minutes of play to secure the title for Spain! The Dutch tasted defeat for the third time in a World Cup Final and despite some questionable strong-arm tactics from Bert van Marwijk's men it was pleasing that the best football side WON!
