Past World Cup Performance:
Ghana made their first World Cup appearance at Germany 2006 and were the only African side to progress beyond the first round after they defeated both the USA and the Czech Republic to book a tie with Brazil in the knock-out phase. Their participation ended there after a 3-0 defeat.
At South Africa 2010 Ghana have been drawn in World Cup Group D along with Germany, Serbia and Australia.
